Item Store a new way to pay to win

 

Click the Item Store icon on the top right of the screen.

You can collect the new currency "opal shard"

Now you may notice that it takes a ridiculous amount of shards to get items that are old and have been outclassed for months.  But wait!  There's more!  You can also just buy event buildings with diamonds!  Not even the selection kits but the actual event building.  And there we have it.  Skip all the pretense of paying for advantage and just straight-up pay to win.

For your convenience there is the buy diamond option right on the screen.  The only consolation is so far it's all old buildings no smart players should just collect the currency and not use it for a while.
