Are you playing the Anniversary Event?
Are you completely up to date on the world prize progress?
Do you find it odd that the gold league is about 2x ahead even though you're ahead of the world prize rewards?
I can't prove anything but this seems really off. If I was a conspiracy type of person I'd say they set the silver and gold league scores as a pacer to get people to spend diamonds to chase those rewards.
Sure hope that I'm wrong about that as it has some very negative implications.
It would explain why mere seconds after the event opened the numbers for the leagues were set to something that isn't possible.
I'm not going for gold league so I'm not that invested in this event but something feels...off.
nope, you have the wrong strategy. no diamonds spend but I am very high in de gold league....

DeleteIf anyone wants to be in gold league all the time play one of the Russian servers where it's a ghost town. Play a new server and you can't get into silver without spending diamonds.
The point of the post is artificially setting league milestones instead of calculating the progress of the player base.
If you want to test this theory then open the game immediately after an event starts. Any event and immediately go to league results. When I did that for the St Patty's day event it showed gold league in the 30's. Immediately after opening people are just out of the tutorial. The numbers are fake.
the numbers may have been fake or place holders but like the other anonymous commenter, I've got 10k progress in gold league then I spent 1k in diamonds to make it 14k progress.Got 1 expo, about to get liquid light lv 1 and the main building. It's definitely possible.
ReplyDeleteIt's entirely world dependent. It's entirely possible to have the exact same progress on two worlds and one you're comfortable in gold and the other nowhere near that.
DeleteThe issue here is are they fudging the numbers to get people to chase their preferred league and it appears that's the case at a minimum at event start.
With events like this one where people can get the 2x rewards every day then stop it's possible they have a lot of currency hoarded.
I can say in terms of balancing if anyone ends in gold league without spending diamond then they failed at the event balance. Their goal is to have top free to play players be just short of gold league which incentivizes them to spend. Then once they spend once they are more likely to spend again and the barrier to spend is greatly reduced.
