There's a call to action for all players who oppose the GB changes as they stand now and also an update for beta players regarding the world prize.
We don't do this often but this is important. If you like FoE and do not want to see a mass exodus of players then you need to act now.
There is a feedback thread on the discord (I don't have discord so no link sorry) and one on the forums. (We haven't been on the forums in years but we were sent the link.)
Click this link to get to their feedback thread on the GB changes and give them hell.
In other news for Beta players. The plan right now (may change but right now) is to award beta players the Palace of Liquid Light world event building as a make good for them screwing up the balancing. They won't announce it though until after the event ends.
We'll try to find out if it's lv1, lv2 or the selection kit or nothing before the event ends. If you do have enough network coins to buy one of those items you may want to hold on until we know for sure.
If they only give the level 1 and you bought a level 1 then you have two level 1's instead of one level 2 which is better. There are no discounts in the Network Vault so waiting will not hurt you.

So they're going to do something good for us beta testers but still find a way to screw us over by not telling us before we buy the building in the shop? Do they do this on purpose or are they just dumb?
ReplyDeleteIt's not 100% but it's looking that way. We're just giving a head's up in case they give you all a lv1. They might give nothing. That's still one of the range of outcomes. We'll see.
DeleteI see boot lickers on the forums saying it's good or ok. Some people's children....
ReplyDeleteI'm not going to go look but that is disappointing to say the least.
DeleteYou should look your blog is mentioned by name
DeleteIf there was an option for Relocation of the large Great Buildings outside the city grid once they reach Level 201 (Gold Tier), it would solve the space crisis. If that move also provided an extra stat boost and was combined with a reasonable reduction in FP contribution per level, the system would finally find its balance. It's the only way to make the evolution sustainable without killing the player base.
ReplyDeleteCity space scarcity is fundamental. They don't consider it a space crisis. Diamond expansions when a new era is released is like printing money for them.
DeleteThis system lacks a proper perspective as a continuation, and I honestly don't think it has a sustainable future. It feels more like a dead-end than an evolution.
DeleteIf InnoGames continues to hold city space hostage just because diamond expansions are their ultimate money printer, they are essentially forcing us to keep these massive GBs in our city grid. This makes the Gold Tier 101-400 evolution a poor investment with zero ROI on space. Unless there is a concrete plan for new expansions or something else to fix this, there is simply no future for this update.
DeleteThe city space for the old system and the new system is the same. Restricting city space forces players to make choices. I would personally welcome any city space expansion but I can't see this changing much. There may be some expansion rewards when Guild Conquest comes out like there was when QI came out. Other than that it's new age diamond expansions, continent map and tech tree.
DeleteThe Arc was a game changer when it was released. I'd like to see Inno come up with an Unknown Era GB (a next gen Arc) that would 'fix' the GB mess we're in. A 3.0 or 4.0 addition to the Arc.
ReplyDeleteI'd personally like that as I take a lot of spots the the various 1.9 ish thread but I'd bet a sum of money that matters that we will not see that. They don't want people getting BP's that way. They want people to use the refinery system.
