I'm not addicted to Forge of Empires. I can quit anytime. No really I can! Just not today.

Some additional information not previously disclosed about the GB changes

So we got some feedback from readers that don't want us to just edit in new information because if they've already read the post they'll miss it unless they go back to find the comment section.  Ok fair enough so we're going to have some posts like this that would have been just added to an older post but is now a stand-alone post.

It appears the recruitment bonus from guild level no longer applies to GB's.  Previously for a lv 100 guild you'd reduce the recruiting time of units from Traz or SW by 40%.  Now it's nothing.  Just a flat 24hrs to collect.

HC and SC rewards have also increased by a lot.  We're still working out the changes and I doubt it makes a difference for people deciding to build or not to build but should still be noted as it doesn't appear anywhere as far as I can tell.

That's it.  Not a lot of news but now it isn't buried in a post you've already read.  Take care.

  1. The disappointment of the beta testers is immense in the first guild of the Beta = ASGARD.
"GB+" led to the game being blocked in beta.

GB+ beta gives a catastrophic image of Innogame. The EU, Innogame is a German company, provides numerous hints in several languages.

Unfair and deceptive practices. Innogame calls its games free. It seems they should be calling their games deceptive instead of free.

One thing remains certain: The European Union must strengthen its laws on the practices of Freemium publishers.

    1. I believe that the monetization in this game is predatory. I don't complain about it much because it is a FtP (free to play) game so they need to generate revenue or the game doesn't exist. But if this was a paid game with these types of monetization schemes then I wouldn't play it.

I'm not that bothered with things like the balancing of events where (unless you're on a dead server) you need to spend diamonds to get into gold league.
I'm not bothered if free to play players get the level 10 main event building so long as that level builds the silver level which in turn builds the gold level. So people that spend diamonds get the gold right away and free players still get the gold but it's delayed.
To me that about strikes the right balance on a free to play game.

What I don't like is all these garbage pop-ups designed to scam new players where you get some coins, supplies, a few troops and a stone massage for however much it costs. That is only targeted at new players who don't know any better and I find that offensive. To keep the game alive we need new players. Be kind to new players. Teach them how to play and try not to get frustrated when they make an oops.
In my view Inno Games scams new players and I find that offensive.

I accept all free to play games will have cash shops and in-game purchases. I accept that they will all have a variety of currencies to create distance from actual cash to the thing you're spending in-game. All F2P games have this.

It just seems to me that instead of a new age we just keep getting more stores and currencies.
