Happy surprise as this was embargoed until May 26 but since it's on Beta now it's publish time.
Hing Arthur's Return is a reskin of the usual Summer Event but let's give Inno some credit as there's a lot more to it than a simple reskin. Well at least visually (thanks AI I guess?). Also there are some minor tweaks from testing to beta.
This event marks the beginning of hyper inflation where we get way more fight boosts, FP, goods etc. to make the pain of the GB update easier to tolerate.
I'm going to skip the storyline and all the fluff and just get into the event BUT you may want to have animations and sound turned on as they put a lot of work into that.
So let's get into it.
This is what it will look like when you first start the event.
Picture the summer event dragon board/shuffle event when reading this and it will make it easier.
When you spend 10 royal favor to visit a village you get grand prize progress and a random reward.
You can also get special rewards
- reveal two
- 2x reward
- or shuffle which is not considered special
Warning: No not play the Piggy Bank mechanic. It is predatory and misleading. Friends don't let friends get scammed by this mechanic. Ok here's what it is.
No wait that's not right it's this. You can collect a Merlin's Grimoire on the board.
You will then get to choose your reward. You have two options or you can spend diamonds to get both. If you don't like either option you can spend diamonds to re-roll the two choices.
Once your piggy bank is full of all the free and purchased with diamond rewards you can claim all the items for free right? Right?
No it's not yours yet even if you spent diamonds. You then have to pay to get all the items in the piggy bank.
Super Boards:
Once you get three Merlin's seals your NEXT board will be a super board.
There's supposed to be some special animations but they didn't work in testing.
Super board will have increase rewards and more special tiles (x2 and reveal 2)
There is no shuffle on super board
Remember that all boards reset at server reset so don't start a super board unless you have time to finish it completely.
For non-super boards use the reset to your advantage.
Boosters:
Merlin's all-seeing eye - reveal 2 tiles
Lady of the Lake Blessing - 2x reward
Mists of Avalon is new. It hides the garbage filler rewards (and shuffle) so you only get the show two, double payout, Camelot coins, pendragon coins, dragonsteel ingots (calendar) or merlin's seals.
Just a note. I believe "dragonsteel" will make it to beta spelled incorrectly so we will spell it incorrectly here as well.
You get boosters from the Pendragon Hoard Store (premium store) or Rival Challenges.
Calendar mechanic is a bit different so credit to Inno for trying. To be honest I would rather those labor hours go into the GB change and releasing the new age can I get an Amen!
The calendar is a forge. Each day has a furnace.
Dragonsteel Ingots are the keys
Dragonsteel shards are the key fragments. You need five to make one ingot.
There's supposed to be a graphic that shows progress in reforging a sword.
After completing the first ten forges you reach a milestone. A new questline opens. It was not working in testing so it will be new to us as well.
Once that milestone is reached the graphic change again. Once the calendar/forge is completed you get the "True King's Excalibur" building.
Event store:
- Camelot Market
- Pendragon Hoard

Noble Camelot (silver) lv 7 makes golden upgrade
Royal Camelot (gold) lv 8 does NOT make platinum upgrade
Crown of Camelot (platinum) lv 9 does NOT make ascended upgrade
Pendragon's Throne of Camelot (ascended) lv 10
So we'll highlight the gold level and up as the base and silver will eventually get there.

The mass self-aid kit fragments are a game changer. Also don't overlook the pop/happiness as so many side buildings and ascended buildings demand one or the other. The fight boosts are for GbG not GE. Overall this is an outstanding building and the higher versions only get better. Especially for blue QI fighters!

It's been a long time since there was a main building in this game worth chasing. You can maintain two of these perpetually using BG charges on the calendar reward building "The True King's Excalibur".
Legends of Camelot selection kit gives a choice of
- Knight's Round Table
- Sword in the Lake
Knight's Round Table

- 25,000 Q supplies at incursion start
- 10 Q goods at incursion start
- 1 % goods boost
- 360,000 supplies
- 90 FP

Gold League reward
The Wrath of Morgan le Fay
There's supposed to be a dragon animation and sound when you collect. It was not working a few weeks ago so we'll see.
- 6x6 requires road
- houses ally
- 400 % red and blue attack and defense
- 600 % red and blue attack and defense GbG
- 25 % red and blue attack and defense QI
- 5 % FP boost
- 5 % goods boost
- 225 FP
- 400 goods
- 20 of 150 Fragments of Royal Camelot Golden Selection Kit
I have to imagine that there will be a lot of diamonds spent trying to get into gold league.
Calendar Reward
The True King's Excalibur
- 6x6 requires road
- houses ally
- 195,000 population
- 250 % red and blue attack and defense
- 375 % red and blue attack and defense GbG
- 25 % red and blue attack and defense QI
- 850 Goods
- 500 FP
Random Production:
- 25 % 4,200 goods
- 25 % 1,800 FP
- 50 % to get 24 of 1000 fragments of Pendragon's Throne of Camelot upgrade kit
it will take 83.3 days to get an ascension kit so if you're lucky with BG charges you can have two perpetually
Piggy Bank (do not play this predatory mechanic)
Merlin's Counsel
- 4x4 road required
- costs 180,000 population
- 225 % red and blue attack and defense
- 72,000 medals
- 180 FP
- 270 prev age goods
Random production:
- 25% 52 of 30 fragments of finish special production
- 50% 10 of 15 fragments finish all supply productions
- 25% 24 of 30 fragments reno kit
Eternal Market fragments
- 800 grand prize lane
- 100 bronze league and above
- 100 Excalibur (last milestone)
- 100 Pendragon Hoard Store
- 100 Main quest line
- That's a total of 1200 instead of the usual 1100
Historical Allies
King Arthur
- common 5% blue defense
- uncommon 10% blue attack
- rare six heavy units of next age
- epic 15% blue attack and defense GbG
- legendary next 200 heavy units in GbG have a 42% chance of gaining contact skill
- sounds cool but of the three new allies this is the least desirable
Merlin
- common 5% blue attack and defense GbG
- uncommon 10% red attack and defense GbG
- rare six range units of next age
- epic 15% red and blue attack and defense GbG
- legendary next 200 range units in GbG have 42% chance of gaining flying skill
- keep in mind some ages allow artillery to hit flying units
This one is good but the next one is awesome
Morgan le Fay
- common 5% red attack
- uncommon 10% red defense
- rare six artillery units of next age
- epic 15% red attack and defense GbG
- legendary next 200 artillery units in GbG have a 17% chance of gaining MIRV skill
MIRV (multiple independently targetable re-entry vehicle) ability allows artillery unit to hit it's primary selected target plus an additional 1-3 enemy units in range. It can damage four total units with one strike.
Outstanding! I can see using this when out of attrition and placing it only when needed and manual fighting.

I was one of the people that read your retracted post about the new age. In it you talked about the allies and the traits. I'm surprised that came to beta so fast I thought that was part of the new age.
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to say thanks for the work that you people do. You should put up a patreon link.
Thanks for calling the piggy bank mechanic what it really is. I doubt certain youtubers will do the same.
