Halloween Event coming to Beta Sept 28 to Oct 19, 2026

 Hold until Sept 26, 2026

Disclaimer:  This page was created long before the game launches on Beta and some of the assets have changed in both appearance and values.  We will update the values to match what will be seen on Beta but will not update the assets that were captured while testing the event.

Also we're putting this up at the top and highlighting it because we get asked every year.  There is no skill element to spinning the wheel.  You can't time it just right or stop the spin just right to get the prize you want.  Once you hit spin the outcome is determined and nothing you do can influence that outcome.  So make sure you turn-off the spin animation to make the process faster.

There are a few changes from last year's event so we'll explain the changes as we go.

Mechanic of spinning wheel and throwing knives.

There is an easy to understand tutorial when you first enter the event.  You can also replay this tutorial at any time.

This is what it looks like after the tutorial.
First thing to do is click the "skip animation" box.  You are competing with everyone in your neighborhood for prizes and the spin animation just slows things down.
You use Halloween tickets to spin the wheel.  Everyone in your hood sees the same prizes.  When they spin the wheel that's like you spinning the wheel.  So you can wait until people in your hood take the bad prizes before you use your knives or you can throw quickly to try to get it first.  You can also throw multiple knives at once to increase your chances.  You can throw 1, 3 or 5 knives at once.  You earn a reward for every knife thrown and grand prize progress.
When you throw multiple knives at once you earn BONUS grand prize progress.

When testing an event there are no other players, guilds, hoodies or stuff like that so we asked what would happen if two players hit spin at the same time with only one prize on the wheel.
The player that spun first will get that prize, the wheel would refresh and the player that spun second will hit one of the prizes there.
That becomes more important when you consider there may be multiple people throwing five knives at the same time.  So every knife will hit a prize and no progress will be lost.

Prize types:
  • Green - Common - each prize has up to 4 charges
  • Silver - rare - each prize has up to 2 charges
  • Gold - very rare - only one prize
  • Special tokens - bat tokens and cat charms

Each currency will have it's own store even though it's only pictured here with one store.  Each store will have a way to use that currency to buy the other currency.

Bat tokens - main currency to use in the event shop.  Get them from winning them on wheel and completing daily tasks.

Cat Charms - bonus currency.  Can only appear on the wheel.  There is no other way to earn this currency.  Use the cat charms in event prize shop.  Earning cat charms on the wheel give you bonus grand prize progress.

Placeholder event pass.  The pass will look different with different prizes when it comes to beta.

Event does have a prize lane with silver and gold as well.
This event does NOT have Rival Quests.  Instead it has daily tasks.

There will be six daily tasks per day.
Tasks 1-3 earn normal bat tokens
Tasks 4-6 earn double bat tokens

Completing all six tasks per day will give you more event currency for the event shop but be prepared to purchase additional tickets to complete all six daily.

To manage event currency you are better-off skipping a day and doing all six tasks the next day than to only doing the first three tasks every day.

Rewards:
All values will be in SAD age and presumed motivated

The Master Spreadsheet has been updated for the Halloween event.  As you can see the gold league building is really good as is some of the ascended buildings.
The huge advantage of being able to evaluate the reward buildings per tile is how it makes it super easy to decide what to go for in the event.
The main building is sub par.  Do you want to go crazy and spend a bit to get into gold league when that building makes fragments for a main building not worth placing in city?
The ascended Eerie building is ok but do you want two lv2 Ectobrook Hollows to make fragments?  I'll hard pass on that.
I'm just going to get as many sootkettle corner ascended kits as I can and play this event passively.  Maybe I'm spoiled by the Arthur event?  What do you all think?

Main event building is Lost Castle.
lv nine is maxed level that makes silver upgrade.
lv ten is the silver upgrade that makes gold upgrade
lv eleven is the golden version so that's the only one we're dealing with as you'll get it if you get the main building at lv 9
