Don't get too excited this is not the update we're all waiting for. This is a change to rewards for contributors. We'll copy/paste the announcement here.
The too long didn't read is gold tier buildings will get 7 reward spots instead of 5. This is only for Beta for now but get your levels open and level up your expensive GB's before the changes come to live server.
Dear Players,
As part of the preparation for the Great Buildings Prestige update, we would first like to test the new contribution reward system we designed for it.
Contribution rewards will now be based on the total cost of the Great Building at a given level. The percentage share for contributors will increase in steps up to level 40 and decrease in steps starting from level 70. Please check the full table with the Contributors share:
| Levels | Share off level costs (contributors share) | Share with a maxed Contribution Reward Bonus ("The Arc Effect") |
|---|---|---|
| 1–9 | 25% | 50% |
| 10–39 | 30% | 60% |
| 40–69 | 40% | 80% |
| 70–100 | 25% | 50% |
| 101–200 | 15% | 30% |
| 201–300 | 10% | 16% |
| 301–400 | 7% | 11.2% |
Additionally, Golden Prestige Levels will provide rewards for top 7 contributors, allowing more players to share in the contribution rewards. Please take a look at the table below, to find out how the Contributors share the total rewards based on their rank:
| Reward Shares -> | R1 | R2 | R3 | R4 | R5 | R6 | R7 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Copper and Silver | 58.25% | 29.13% | 9.71% | 2.43% | 0.49% | — | — |
| Gold | 58.20% | 29.10% | 9.70% | 2.42% | 0.48% | 0.08% | 0.01% |
This change means that on higher levels players will gain more Forge Points out of the contribution reward system than before. On the other hand, we have reduced the amount of Blueprints in the Contribution Rewards, making sure that gaining Blueprints from different sources will remain important part of the game. Medals weren't changed.
Our goal with these changes was to ensure that contributions from other players, especially on higher GB levels, retain their significance for the owners.
When? The changes to the Contribution Rewards will be implemented this Friday.
Your Forge of Empires Team
