Sash colony with 8 goods buildings

People were asking so this is a colony with 8 goods buildings, 25% chance of 4x special resources.

If you get a quest that requires you to build housing of your age you can delete the 3x3 life support building and still be ok.

Fall Event on live server Sept. 2, 2025

We will release this post on Sept 1 because there are current rebalancing issues taking place and we don't want to make a lot of edits after posting.

Here are the balancing changes during Beta

Here is the beta version

We will update the changes as they come here and post the final version the day before launch.

-extended duration of event

-Rival Challenge increased to 19 days for live server (was 16 days on Beta).  Will start earlier and finish later than the Beta version

-Rush increased to 19 from 16 due to extension of event

-Quest order changed to increase difficulty.  Earlier quests in the first few days will be harder

-Quests that required the player to use event currency to purchase extra moves after the player has used 25 moves on the board have decreased from two to one instance

-one additional "collect X jars of the same color in a single move" quest was added

-two more production quests added

-one complete x battles without losing quest added

-added 100 sacks of flour to one quest

-added 1 golden spoon reward to two quests

Because of all these changes you will NOT know the rush quests, daily quest or rival quests in advance.

Edit: Sept 5, 2025

If you're reading this here then you know we didn't put a Fall Event for live server post out because the prize rewards are so trash none of us are playing it.  No seriously we have five contributors now and none of us wanted to volunteer to update the post and record the changes and insert quests as they became available.

One other change that has occured after the event has launched on live server is the increase of FP production of the Regal Cider Mill from 11 FP to 30 FP.

GB update news Aug. 28, 2025

Embargo until Aug 28, 2025 come back then

Update EDIT: Great Buildings Prestige update postponed due to massive backlash from the community.  No word on implementation date.

We can finally talk specifics about the GB update and there's a lot to talk about.  We've made comments previously that while this update is very much needed there will be a lot of upset players and now we can tell you why that is.  We are going to condense the information into just what you need to know as there is a lot.

The way we level the GB's are changing from infinite levelling to tiers.

  • Copper lv 1-100
  • Silver lv 101-200
  • Gold lv 201-300

There are two more tiers not yet announced for later update.

BP's

Consider what we have now as copper which then upgrades to silver which then upgrades to gold.  To upgrade tiers you need the corresponding BP's.  So you will have copper, silver and gold BP.  The existing BP's you have now will convert to copper.  You can then refine 2 copper BP's into one silver (random) BP.  You can refine 2 silver BP's into one (random) gold BP and you do this in the refinery pictured above.

When you take a spot in someone's GB you will get back BP's of that GB's tier and all the tiers below.  So if you donate to a lv 300 Colosseum you will get back gold, silver and copper BP's so you too can build a high-level Colosseum!  (Just in case new players are reading this don't build a Colosseum.)

You still get BP rewards say in events and those will now feature BP's of silver and gold as well.  You can also buy the silver and gold BP's.  Just take spots in people's GB's.  BP's won't be a problem.

When using the refinery you may see a goods, coin and supply cost to refine so just taking spots in other people's GB is by far the best way to go.

There is also a limit of five GB's per day that you can use to refine BP's for all you power levelers.  In testing we refined two sets of BP for one set of BP.  The preliminary release notes implied that it will be one random BP at a time so it's possible that players will not have a set but rather just random BP's.  We're not going to bother chasing this down as the new system will be released on Beta in about two weeks (on or about Sept 1, 2025).  The BP part of this is the least concerning as after the first day or so everyone will have lots and lots of BP's.

Level Compression

So the copper tier maxes at lv 100 and you, me and everyone else has multiple GB's above that level so what happens?

Inno has analyzed the distribution system of GB's in the game and has come up with the maximum level of each GB (with a tiny amount of exceptions) and have made that level the new lv 100.  Here is the list of compression levels.

Tower of Babel 120

Lighthouse of Alexandria 130

Hagia Sophia 135

Galata Tower 140

Notre Dame 105

Cathedral of St. Basil 135

Dresden Frauenkirche 120

Royal Albert Hall 120

Capitol 105

Château Frontenac 180

Space Needle 110

Atomium 140

Cape Canaveral 135

The Habitat 115

Innovation Tower 140

Voyager V1 123

Truce Tower 121

The Arc 180

Rain Forest Project 125

Gaea Statue 110

Arctic Orangery 200

Seed Vault 160

Atlantis Museum 120

The Blue Galaxy 170

Star Gazer 110

Flying Island 125

A.I. Core 140

Saturn VI Gate CENTAURUS 125

Saturn VI Gate PEGASUS 150

Saturn VI Gate HYDRA 133

Stellar Warship 100

Cosmic Catalyst 100

Observatory 160

Temple of Relics 138

Oracle of Delphi 100

So what that means is a Cosmic Catalyst at level 100 will still be a cosmic catalyst at level 100.

An Arc at lv 180 will now give 100% bonus at lv 100

Here is where some people are going to get very upset.  People with a lv 180 Arc now and people with a lv 100 Arc now will have the same lv 100 Arc after the conversion.  You will not be compensated for the FP you invested between lv 101 to lv 180

Now if your Arc is above lv 180 like let's say you just dumped all your FP and made it a lv 200 Arc then you will still have a lv 100 Arc but the BP, FP (or other resources) used to level it past the point of the set level compression will be refunded back to your inventory in packs not on your FP bar.  So if you used goods or special resources (Titan and SASH GB) then those will also be refunded for the levels above the compression levels listed above.

So if your Pegasus is lv 150 you will not get the 50 levels of FP, goods and coins.  If you are upset by this then you're paying attention.  A player with a lv 100 Pegasus will have the same GB as you with a considerable less investment cost.  Any level above 150 will be refunded though.

Any building right now that is below lv 100 will remain at that level after the conversion but expect to see the cost to level to 100 increase.

So far only 13 GB's have a silver and gold tier with more to follow after an extensive balancing period.

All GB's even the ones that do not have silver and gold upgrades will still be converted and compressed to the copper level.

The stats are going to be updated on Aug. 25, 2025 so we'll copy/paste the updated stats at that time here.

insert updated stats when available.

These are the stats we'll see going into the Beta server still with no specifics on the silver and gold except what kind of boosts they will be.

If you're a reader of this site you'll know we've long advocated for significant GB boosts and costs to level them.  We like the way Titan and Sash GB's require goods and Sash requiring special goods for one of the two GB's.

We expect to see the next wave of GB updates after Q1 next year and finally the rest of the GB update when Guild Conquest/new GvG comes out.

People should know that this new system is scalable so when power creep makes these GB's obsolete again the new tiers can be introduced.

The one major flaw and this is a complete own goal by Inno is not refunding the costs of all GB's over lv 100 regardless of the compression level.  It's introducing a pain point to the player base that's completely not necessary.  Their point is a lv 100 ARC will give them the same bonus as the old lv 180 so the player didn't lose anything.  That's bullshit.  It's such a disingenuous argument.  They should refund all resources for any GB above lv 100 and just be done with it.

With the new system it's no longer possible to level above 100 on any tier so it really is a one-time issue.

The other issue which has not been addressed is what happens to the FP people have invested into a GB that is over lv 100 that gets converted to lv 100 and can no longer be leveled further on that tier?

We asked and did not get a straight answer.  To us the solution would be easy.  Just refund all the FP invested by GB owner and others into that tier.  Nobody loses anything and nobody has anything to complain about.  But where's the fun in that?

QI the Middle Ages coming to beta Aug 28, 2025

 embargo until 8/25/25

comeback after embargo lifts

Update to add changes 8/28/2025

Quantum actions have reverted to the old system.  It seems they didn't realize that changing QA was an effective nerf on many event buildings players had in their cities and available in events now.  So instead of changing the characteristic of many event items to un-nerf them it was just easier to revert the QA system to what it was before.  You know since there was no real reason to change it other than some fail-hard who doesn't play the game thought it would be a good idea because big number=better or something like that.

After a long wait we can finally lift the embargo and publish the new QI!  Just so you know this is not the last change but maybe the last change this year with another major change to follow.  (Hint Trials)

This is coming out to Beta and expect many changes before it reaches live server.  It's really hard to balance any mechanic that involves guilds on any type of test server that doesn't have guilds.

So the next iteration of QI will combine Early, High and Late Middle ages.  Because they are combining all these ages the troop donation nodes will be removed.

Buildings will be in tiers.  (Get used to this as the new GB's will use something similar).  Lots of new things to discuss so let's start with....

Chrono Alloy:

This is a new special resource that will be needed to build higher tier buildings.  Chrono Alloy will expire per season just like the coin and supplies.

You obtain chrono alloys by collecting from town hall and producing it in residential and production buildings.

Remember that Middle Ages encompasses three in-game ages with three district asset varieties.  The people who adapt quickly and learn how to make a good settlement will have a much easier time in later QI maps.  This is where tiers come into play.

Buildings from each era are divided into tiers.  Tier 1 buildings don't require chrono alloy to build so these get built first.  You will have to balance coin/supply boosts with chrono production.

Higher tier buildings have more production capacity but cost more.  The higher the tier the more chrono it costs to build it.

So that's buildings in the same era but you also have to account for buildings in different eras.  Residential buildings from EMA have the highest base value.

LMA residential buildings have more coin production but less chrono production.

You got that?  Three ages all with three tier levels.

Goods buildings:

There will be five total goods buildings.

  • Copper
  • Honey
  • Bricks
  • Rope
  • Gunpowder

You select these as you do now (pick 3) but with five options and different costs to build.  (Hint don't pick bricks, rope and gunpowder.)

Military Buildings:

You will have access to ALL military buildings from these three eras but you have to choose three types of military buildings.

  • light
  • ranged
  • fast
  • heavy
  • artillery

Once you select your types then all buildings of those types from all ages become available.  (Hint for players with good fight boosts.  The higher age unit may not be your best choice.  HMA treb tested better than LMA cannon because of the range advantage but your mileage may vary)

Residential, Production (supply), cultural and decorations:

As before you do not have to preselect these but now you have a lot of options.  Just remember tier 2 and tier 3 require chrono alloys.

QA capacity:
Increased from 100,000 to 300,000

Sorry to anyone that got the event items that increased capacity as this is an effective nerf to those items

Quantum Actions:

Quantum action regeneration has increase (base value before boosts) from 5,000/hr to 15,000 per hour

Once again this is effectively a nerf to the event buildings that boosted QA

Movement cost has not been finalized as of this writing.  We were told it may not change at all but if it does it would be reasonable to expect 275-350 to move one node.

QA cost of fight/donation has increased from 3,500 to 10,000

Quantum Store:  because of course there's a quantum store

That's not even a complaint at this point it's just expected.  The good thing about the coin/store mechanic that is now being used for everything is it's very easy to scale once the original balancing is done.  Like say if you were going to implement QI Trials or something.  Just saying.

The other good thing is you can choose your rewards instead of getting random things you may not want or need.  For example the GE boosts in the current QI are outstanding but they sit in inventory because I'm chasing more GbG boosts.

Lunar Coins:

New currency for the Quantum Store.  Be careful as there is a max amount you can have a one time.  If you reach this amount any further lunar coins you collect will go poof just like GvG.  Sorry that still a sore spot?

We did not get a straight answer on when these lunar coins expire.  We were told they would expire before the next championship and also they would expire before the next season.  Both statements cannot be true but we'll know for sure way before this comes to live server and the same day it's released on Beta.

Have you purchased all your quantum expansions and are wondering what to do with all the quantum medals you now have?

Yeah me neither so keep hoarding them because the expansions are more valuable than what I'm about to say.

You can use quantum medals to purchase items in the quantum store.  But don't do that.  Save them for expansions.  Seriously.  Think of me as your sober friend telling you it's a bad idea to drive drunk from the bar.

The quantum incursion season store will refresh with every season.

All the building fragments we get now from QI nodes have been removed and can now be found in the QI store.  Some options are limited but will refresh for the next season.

When you donate or fight a node you can (% chance) get the following

  • coins
  • supplies
  • shards
  • medals
  • FP

Building fragments can still be found in end of season rewards, ranking rewards and quantum pass rewards are still here but the Neo Colossus is gone!  What!  But I have like 40 of them and was hoping to make more!

Well no worries partner because you can still get older fragments (at a discount) at the QI store.

Speaking of discounts...if something never had a regular price how can it be discounted?  Why dear sir I feel I've been manipulated.

New Rewards:

The Neo Bazaar

  • 5x4 requires road
  • 125 - 175% blue and red attack and defense
  • 100 - 130 FP
  • 1 random unit chest (this is low key a really good reward)
  • 10 fragments of Neo Fashion Boutique selection kit

the unique thing about this building is instead of a silver, gold and platinum option it allows player choice which is always a good thing.  It branches out and allows the player to pick one of two options

  • gives GbG bonuses TBD as of this writing

Master Spreadsheet of all buildings updated to include Fall Event and Fellowship Event 2025

Master Spreadsheet has been updated to include the buildings in the Fall Event that is about to be launched on Live Server and the Fellowship Event which is about to launch on Beta Server.

The changelog on this version is only one value.  We have received feedback of players getting 30-40k FP from city collection so the % boosts from buildings like the Eco Sanctum is too low in our rankings.  We based the estimated FP from the % boost on a city that generates 20k FP previously and have now adjusted that to 30k to better reflect the FP inflation.

We also removed the custom tables for people who only want red QI (or blue) as it's inefficient to build both boosts.

Likewise we removed the tables that removed GE boosts.

As players will value all boosts differently we decided to just include it all and people can adjust however they like by simply downloading a copy and edit.

Fellowship Event 2025 for Beta Server

Embargo post until Aug 22, 205

Edit Sept 5, 2025

Balancing changes for this event are detailed here.

https://forgeaddicts.blogspot.com/2025/09/fellowship-event-currently-on-beta.html

Event runs from Aug 25 to September 15, 2025 on Beta server.

The St. Patrick's day event mechanic is back.

This event should be familiar to all FoE players unless they are very new so we won't spend a lot of time on the mechanics.

There are some changes and the first change is the task window.

The task and the completion reward is now displayed.

The names have changed so instead of festival, shipyard, hats, flowers, cake, drinks and fireworks we have...

  • Banquet Hall
  • carriage
  • spices emporium
  • juice emporium
  • farm
  • bakehouse
  • gourmet butchery

You open these "shops" and hire overseers using "gemstones" which is the event currency.

The goal is to avoid creating a bottleneck so be careful when piking what level of overseer you use.

Boosters:

  • king's chronometer - fast forward production by two hours
  • royal seal of advancement - upgrade overseers without spending gemstones
  • monarch's edict of provisions - discount of number of feast provisions required to progress to the next banquet.  (Can only use one per banquet)

When you complete tasks you get an instant reward and progress toward the grand prize.  25 tasks completion grants one prize on the grand prize lane.

You do not have to complete all tasks and you should not complete all tasks if you wish to play efficiently.  The goal is to complete enough to advance the grand prize lane while boosting the town so it generates enough feast provisions to move to the next town (next banquet).

The first town (banquet) is a tutorial and only needs 1 million feast provisions to move to the next banquet.  All other banquets require 8.4 quadrillion.

When you select the option to move to the next banquet you will see six reward chests.

The first chest is free to open and you'll need to spend gemstones to open more.  If you select open all you will get a discount.

If you do open all chests you will get a bonus prize.

The event shop is back.

The currency is "sacred seals"

Prizes:

For the people not familiar with the mechanics it's pretty simple to play but complicated to explain.
There are three towns/banquets/variants.  They cycle so once you complete town 1 and go to the next one it's town 2.  Once that's completed you go to town 3.  Once that's completed you go back to town 1.

The very first town you play is different as it's a tutorial.  From then on it's very formulaic.

What you dear reader have to decide is which strategy you will choose and then stick with it.

1) Push the prize line and try to get into gold league/spend diamonds
2) Don't spend diamonds but go for prize line/main event building
3) Lazy don't give a crap about the prize line but want the prize you get when you open all boxes between towns.

Regardless of which strategy you pick how you do the first tutorial town will be the same.  And even if you don't care about the main event prize because it's not very good you might want to try to get to 450 of the prize line.

The next platinum Fiore upgrade is at 800
*Note: Expect the prize line to change from Beta to live server

Tutorial Town:
Complete 15 tasks before moving to variant two.
It only takes about 20 minutes to go from 11 to 15 tasks so stacking those extra quest completions will help you get farther down the prize line.

Once you build a bakehouse the next quest is hire a lv2 baker which we won't do and just move past the tutorial and into town/banquet/variant two.

Now let's deal with the above strategies for regular (non-tutorial) towns.

Let's start with strategy 3 the lazy super-easy method that is diamond city friendly.
Only hire lv1 overseer for a total cost of 190 currency.

***Town 3 take juice to 50
butchery 25
banquet carriage 300
butchery 50

Using this method you will complete 15 tasks on town one, 8 tasks on town two and 14 tasks on town 3
So that's 37 tasks for three towns including the tutorial and the same moving forward.  That means you will probably top-out at 185 on the prize line but will still get the silver fiore upgrade.  You will not have enough currency to buy-all boxes after every town is completed.  This is the lazy method after-all.  You don't have to complete a town every two days.  Just make sure you use all your currency on boxes.

This is town 2 on the lazy strategy

You'll notice that there are two buildings yet to be built and I'm out of tasks.  You do not have to babysit these lazy towns.

You should however complete the event quests.  It should only take an hour or so to complete all the rush quests then just do the daily quests the lazy way!

The milestone rewards are worth doing the quests.

Strategy two advancing the prize line but not using diamonds to buy additional event currency.

When you move to the next town this screen appears.

For the tutorial town it only costs 1M provisions.  You can also see here there's a box to the left to use a booster to reduce the price.

You get one free chest and can spend currency to open more.  Don't open individual boxes until the event is about to end and you need to spend currency before it goes away.  Either just use the free box and move to the next town or open-all for a discount.

By opening all you get the special prize

The seals are used in the event shop as special event currency.  Then there are also trash prizes along with the seals.  That's why we advocate to either only open the free box or open all.
Once you take your free box it looks like this

So it takes 1400 gems (event currency) to open all boxes.

Now you can buy more boxes or move to the next town.  Do not buy the higher price boxes.  The skill aspect of this event is balancing your need to buy overseers and the ability to buy boxes.  If going for gold or trying to push the prize line then you may only buy boxes on the last day just to use up currency.  If playing the lazy method you time town completions to match your ability to buy all boxes.

Strategy 1 push prize line and go for gold league.
This is a big spender event and frankly the prizes are not worth the investment.  However if you insist on spending diamonds you can set-up the following overseers:

Town one:
Banquet 4
Carriage 4
spice 2
juice 2
farm 2
bakery 2
butchery 2

Town two:

butchery 2

Town three:

Carriage 4
spice 1
juice 2
