Halloween event live server Nov 4 to Nov 25th

There are a few changes from last year's event so we'll explain the changes as we go. Quests are at bottom of this page. Mechanic of spinning wheel and throwing knives. There is an easy to understand tutorial when you first enter the event. You can also replay this tutorial at any time. This is what it looks like after the tutorial. First thing to do is click the "skip animation" box. You are competing with everyone in your neighborhood for prizes and the spin animation just slows things down. You use Halloween tickets to spin the wheel. Everyone in your hood sees the same prizes. When they spin the wheel that's like you spinning the wheel. So you can wait until people in your hood take the bad prizes before you use your knives or you can throw quickly to try to get it first. You can also throw multiple knives at once to increase your chances. You can throw 1, 3 or 5 knives at once. You earn a reward for every knife thro...

All mentions of number of tiles includes roads. Troops: We’re decreasing the value of troops because there are so many sources of troops now that it just isn’t as valuable. It’s going from number of troops/tile/10 to Number of troops/tile/20 QI boosts: QI fight boosts were previously given a (times 30) multiplier to reflect the scarcity and importance of having QI fight boosts in your city. We’re removing the multiplier entirely for now. It may be adjusted later to reflect community feedback. GE boosts: The raw numbers remain unchanged but for “value” we halved the GE boosts as they are less valuable. Troops value is now number of troops (of any age) divided by tiles including roads and further divided by 10. There are two reasons for this. The first is we now have a lot of buildings providing troops so we’re simply getting more of them. The second is with the new GbG changes players will have half the fights they had previously thus lowering the demand for troops. Winter Event 2025 (Oct 20-Nov 21 on Beta Server)

Shuffle board mechanic is back. This year there will be 16 items instead of 14 items on the board. For people wanting to complete the calendar this is bad as you will need more currency to get through a board. Currency is Wooden Bells. Acquired by completing event quests and incidents. It costs 10 wooden bells to visit a house on the board. Each house earns you 1-2 event pass points. Winter Memories is the bullshit predatory diamond mechanic. Avoid it at all costs. Collect three snowman parts to unlock a super board. Super Boards do not have a shuffle so you need to complete it before the next reset. They will have special items two show two two double payout grand prize boosts. Each house visit gives 2-4 grand prize progress Winter Booster items can be won in rival quests. GB update news Aug. 28, 2025

Embargo until Aug 28, 2025 come back then Update EDIT: Great Buildings Prestige update postponed due to massive backlash from the community. No word on implementation date. We can finally talk specifics about the GB update and there's a lot to talk about. We've made comments previously that while this update is very much needed there will be a lot of upset players and now we can tell you why that is. We are going to condense the information into just what you need to know as there is a lot. The way we level the GB's are changing from infinite levelling to tiers. Copper lv 1-100 Silver lv 101-200 Gold lv 201-300 There are two more tiers not yet announced for later update. BP's Consider what we have now as copper which then upgrades to silver which then upgrades to gold. To upgrade tiers you need the corresponding BP's. So you will have copper, silver and gold BP. Higher Age Units the easy guide

There are plenty of guides out there and most are good. Some are hard to follow and there are a few that are flat-out wrong. I'm putting this out because despite all the guides available (including one already on this blog) people still ask how to do it and there is a need for a hand-holding version. That's not a pejorative it's just the reality that there is a need for a simple and accurate guide. Getting troops of a higher age involves pushing the campaign map in a very specific way. Negotiate some sectors, fight others and completely ignore some. The other aspect is the tech tree. Deciding to go for higher age troops means you will leave certain techs unresearched because you will need them later. Lastly, the third leg of this adventure is working the story quests and side-quests correctly so you do not get blocked. If you mess up any of these three legs it may be somewhat correctable by forgoing some advanced age troops or by moving to the n...

Inno Games is changeing it's database and that's bad news FoE Helper and a huge part of the player base. UPDATED

The way FoE used to work on beta server and still works on live servers (for now) is it used to load complete metadata when loading a city. FoE Helper harvested that metadata and made this game a lot easier and more enjoyable to play. The game without FoE helper for me is mostly unplayable. Unfortunately for players on beta they are experiencing the slower (not faster) load time so this change has already failed but more importantly the game freezes all the time. The game now loads information in an adhoc way when needed which has caused it to run slower. But most importantly it has caused FoE helper to completely fail. The folks at FoE helper are working furiously to try to get a work around but as of right now FoE won't even load on chrome (and chrome type) browsers. Embargo until Nov 12, 2025 Need to have "trading charters" unlocked in Colonial Age tech tree. Like the Polynesia Settlement there are no road requirements.
