There is a lot of panic in the FoE community because FoE helper has been removed from the chrome store. That means people who did not have FOE helper previously will no longer be able to add it as an extension.
But there is good news, well at least for now. People hat have already added the extension can still use it.
If you go to your extensions you will see this.
You can then turn it back on.And then it's back, for now.
It's still available for FirefoxAs of right now you can still add it to Brave browser but I would expect that to change for all the chrome type of variant browsers.
So it may be time to get a bunch of browsers, download FoE helper extension for those browsers and keep that as a back-up in case it's removed from the extension stores.
The big issue is and it's a question without an answer right now....is this a FoE helper thing or is it an Inno Game thing? If inno decides it's no longer ok with players using FoE helper then there will be a lot of upset players. Personally I can't imagine playing this game without it.
I hope there is an announcement from either FoE helper or Inno about this situation because what I don't want to see is a big ban wave. It would be foolish for Inno to let players know that FoE isn't ok anymore by banning thousands of players instead of issuing a statement.
Best case scenario is there is a simple conflict with the current chrome browser version and when fixed it will be back in the chrome store. If I had to bet I'd put money on that being the issue.
EDIT: We have spoken with the developers of FoE helper and indeed it was a change of chrome policy and the fix to conform to the new policy will be implemented in the coming days so it will be back.
