Inno Games is changeing it's database and that's bad news FoE Helper and a huge part of the player base. UPDATED

The way FoE used to work on beta server and still works on live servers (for now) is it used to load complete metadata when loading a city.

FoE Helper harvested that metadata and made this game a lot easier and more enjoyable to play.  The game without FoE helper for me is mostly unplayable.  Unfortunately for players on beta they are experiencing the slower (not faster) load time so this change has already failed but more importantly the game freezes all the time.

The game now loads information in an adhoc way when needed which has caused it to run slower.  But most importantly it has caused FoE helper to completely fail.

The folks at FoE helper are working furiously to try to get a work around but as of right now FoE won't even load on chrome (and chrome type) browsers.  So chrome, brave, opera etc.

If you use firefox it will load but not work.

If you use the official forums or the FoE discord please be vocal about your feelings on this.

Whoever had the dumb idea to change how FoE handles metadata they should no longer be allowed to have ideas.

Edit: Nov 12, 2025 FoE Helper is now working for both chrome and firefox

Halloween event live server Nov 4 to Nov 25th

There are a few changes from last year's event so we'll explain the changes as we go.

Quests are at bottom of this page.

Mechanic of spinning wheel and throwing knives.

There is an easy to understand tutorial when you first enter the event.  You can also replay this tutorial at any time.

This is what it looks like after the tutorial.
First thing to do is click the "skip animation" box.  You are competing with everyone in your neighborhood for prizes and the spin animation just slows things down.
You use Halloween tickets to spin the wheel.  Everyone in your hood sees the same prizes.  When they spin the wheel that's like you spinning the wheel.  So you can wait until people in your hood take the bad prizes before you use your knives or you can throw quickly to try to get it first.  You can also throw multiple knives at once to increase your chances.  You can throw 1, 3 or 5 knives at once.  You earn a reward for every knife thrown and grand prize progress.
When you throw multiple knives at once you earn BONUS grand prize progress.

When testing an event there are no other players, guilds, hoodies or stuff like that so we asked what would happen if two players hit spin at the same time with only one prize on the wheel.
The player that spun first will get that prize, the wheel would refresh and the player that spun second will hit one of the prizes there.
That becomes more important when you consider there may be multiple people throwing five knives at the same time.  So every knife will hit a prize and no progress will be lost.

Prize types:
  • Green - Common - each prize has up to 4 charges
  • Silver - rare - each prize has up to 2 charges
  • Gold - very rare - only one prize
  • Special tokens - bat tokens and cat charms

Bat tokens - main currency to use in the event shop.  Get them from winning them on wheel and completing daily tasks.

Cat Charms - bonus currency.  Can only appear on the wheel.  There is no other way to earn this currency.  Use the cat charms in event prize shop.  Earning cat charms on the wheel give you bonus grand prize progress.

Event does have a prize lane with silver and gold as well.
This event does NOT have Rival Quests.  Instead it has daily tasks.

There will be six daily tasks per day.
Tasks 1-3 earn normal bat tokens
Tasks 4-6 earn double bat tokens

Completing all six tasks per day will give you more event currency for the event shop but be prepared to purchase additional tickets to complete all six daily.

Rewards:
Master spreadsheet has been updated to include the buildings from this event (and the next event) and the spreadsheet now has tabs on the bottom so you can just view these buildings quickly to help you strategize.
Link to the master spreadsheet is here.

Avatars

Ok so about this event.  It's good and worth playing.  The previous two events featured main buildings that were already obsolete meaning advanced players would not place the main building in their cities.  That makes the gold league prize far less valuable as the fragments that make the main building have no value.

To top that off the event store was such garbage that the only thing sort of worth spending currency on was the fragments for allies.

This event has a good main event building.

A good gold league building because the fragments to make the main building have value.

You can get a terrific building in the event store and the lv2 of that building makes fragments for obsidian tower upgrades.

So what's the "best" strategy?  Well if you plan on doing the daily quests everyday then be prepared to buy a lot of extra tickets because it's kind of a trap.  The other issue is if you do the quests to do the quests then you'll be throwing knives regardless of what's on the wheel at the time.

So the quests look like this

and the wheel can look like this

As you can see the only good things on the wheel are already gone.  And to be clear the only things anyone should be going for are the special currencies.

So here's the recommended strategy.

Try to play during slow times.  The less people playing in your hood the better.

If there's a good prize on the wheel then don't try to game the system by letting a hoodie spin a few times then try to snipe the good prize.  Just go for it.

Be aware of the daily tasks.  If it tells you to throw 3 knives at once then cue that up.  If there's no good prize on the board just wait until a hoodie refreshes it.  When you see a good prize then throw those 3 knives and complete the task.

So don't waste currency refreshing the board.  Let your hood do that for you.

Complete daily tasks on your schedule and only when a good prize is up.  It helps to do this while collecting daily as about half the tasks are easily completed while collecting.

If you do not want to buy extra currency then understand you cannot complete all daily tasks everyday.  You will run out of currency.  The daily tasks that require you to throw 5 knives 2 times and stuff like that are designed to burn up your event currency.  If you let those tasks go then it's possible to complete all other daily tasks.

There is a luck element as well in regards to event currency gained in incidents.  If you're really lucky then it will be possible to complete all tasks.  Possible but not likely.

You get 2x the rewards for tasks 4-6 so focus on completing all as many times as you can.  Some of it is random chance so for example if you have to collect silver twice it may take you two throws or 20.  That's why it's impossible to say exactly how often you can go for 6/6 tasks so plan to do it every other day until you're about a week into the event and adjust up or down from there.  You should be able to complete two tasks everyday when collecting without throwing any knives.  Then once you complete one of the use event currency tasks you'll get another non-event currency task like complete 4hr productions 10 times.

So when the event starts just complete all the event tasks with your first city collection and get them out of the way.  You will then have a lot of tickets to use when you need them and there's no need to use them daily or every 8hrs or anything like that.

When it comes to the event store obviously the good prize is Rattlebones Raveyard so focus on that.

The lv1 building costs 24 cat charms.  The selection kit to make it a lv2 costs 40.

This event mainly gave blue QI fighters good building but red QI fighters can get the phantom abandoned asylum from the store with bat tokens.

You can also get ally fragments with bat tokens but when you see the cat tokens on the wheel do whatever you can to get them.

The most important thing to remember is to game the discount system in the shop.  Only spend that currency on discounted items unless the store is about to close for good and you have to spend or lose it.

Check the shop daily and use the refresh daily then have patience if the discount is not where you want it.

St Patrick's Day Event 2026 for Beta WIP

We started posting information about this event last October.  Here is the link if you want to see it or how things have changed from the WIP/Alpha testing to Beta.  There were not a lot of changes but every change was to decrease the rewards.

This event mechanic is now so well known that it hardly seems worth discussing so we won't and we'll go right to strategy.

Before the event starts you need to decide which strategy you will choose.  Do you want to open all the boxes when completing a town or festival or whatever they're calling it this time OR do you want to complete as many tasks as possible and go for gold league?

If you want to advance the prize line and go for gold league then be prepared to complete 23-28 festivals (I will probably call it towns a number of times and won't bother changing it.)

You should also be prepared to spend a lot of diamonds as this has historically been a high spending event.  So buy extra event currency, hire lv5 managers, set timers and sweat out the next three weeks going for gold.

We do not endorse this strategy at all Look at the rewards and decide for yourself what is good.  We have them ranked here and in the master spreadsheet.

In our view the rewards are.....fine.  Not good, not garbage just ok.  Anything under a 40 on the value table would be ok but next up to be replaced.  Even the gold league building is underwhelming and made worse by making fragments for a main building that's just OK and not worth chasing.

What do we recommend?  Well if your city population can handle it I'd say get one (and only one) ascended fortunate celtic goldsmith and three lv 2 McDough's Loaf House.  Play the event casually.  Don't spend any diamonds.  Don't set alarms.  Don't wake up in the middle of the night to complete your town to start the next.  Let other people sweat out the event.

This event should be a mix of open all boxes six times and picking your spots to advance the prize line so I'd suggest this.

Open all boxes after the tutorial town and the next four towns.  Just put your managers on lv1 and let it take 3 days to complete.  Then on day 13 you'll have five Loaf House and only need one more which you will get on the last day of the event.  Now you can play the last week of the event knowing you only need enough event currency for that last box.

Why aren't we high on the main event building?  For people that are hardcore GbG players they will like the main building and really like this event.  We value niche fight bonuses less than just general bonuses.  So giving someone red GE attack or blue GbG attack has less value than just a boost to red or blue attack that can be applied in every mechanic outside QI.

The druid temple upgrades with all due respect to the people who really need a tiny blue QI fight boost is just garbage.  Players will be far better-off getting the side building and ascending them.  Speaking of which the store is really where this event is worth playing even if only casually.  In the store you can get some side building upgrades and hero fragments if you need them.  You can also get some platinum upgrades of other buildings which are far better than the druid temple.  I'd be very surprised if the druid temples aren't given a boost before it goes to live server.

  • 105 % FP

Random Production

  • 70 % 8 fragments of finish special production (need 30)
  • 30 % 10 fragments of Ascended Fortunate Celtic Goldsmith upgrade kit (need 1000)

This building averages 3 fragments a day.

You need 11.11111 per day to have an ascended fortunate goldmith perpetually.

So in order to have one perpetually you will need three level 2 McDough's Loaf Houses and hit it with BG a few times or get four of them which seems the most logical as you probably have better things to use BG charges on.

Also the population cost may prevent players from placing it at all.

Wildlife Event 2026 for Beta Server WIP estimated release Dec 8 on Beta, January 2026 on live server

We're about three months away and we'll honor the embargo but......
